First Responder Resilience Stop

“The spirit of a man will sustain him in sickness, But who can bear a broken spirit.”

Proverbs 18:14

–New King James Version

The supporters of Direct Action Great Turning hold as a fundamental tenet that any successful social movement must bless and serve all they encounter in other social groups.  A too often neglected group are individuals considered first responders, who at least in this context here will be considered law enforcement, fire and public safety personnel, emergency medical technicians, medical and military personnel, and lastly social services workers, all of whom perform public services too often at the highest extremes of personal risk, stress, and trauma, along with personal injuries and deaths.  Though social services workers do not routinely suffer as intense stresses, their woundings in terms of trauma can be vicarious and accumulated by long-serving those people who do experience life at its extremes and their aftermath.  With these considerations in mind, stories and videos in this section will focus all things related to first responders.
